v The STEPS installation procedure allows you to install the material on any logical drive provided by Novell, Windows NT, etc. The default is to install in the directory ‘C:\STEPS’ but ‘P:\SOFTWARE\CBL\STEPS’ is just as good. In the STEPS.CFG file, you can specify three filestore locations: Location Purpose Working Allows STEPS Apps to communicate with each other through temporary files. Student Some STEPS Apps allow students to take work away, it will be saved here. Misc Miscellaneous information (e.g. a log of progress) may be written here.
