Does the Strategic Highway Corridors concept mean more Interstates for North Carolina?
The concept does not specifically introduce new Interstate facilities for North Carolina, except those already proposed, such as the I-73, I-74, and I-20 corridors. Future standards may require that all Corridors with a freeway facility type be built to Interstate standards, however no such requirement is in place at this time.
