Does the Syspine New A50Plus IP Phone System operate as a PBX or as a Key System?

The Syspine A50Plus is an IP-based PBX. Unlike a typical key system which dedicates each outside line to direct access line buttons (keys), a PBX pools the outside lines into trunk groups which are accessed by dialing a code (9). Incoming calls are screened and distributed by an automated attendant, or answered live by an operator assigned extensions, or Agent /User groups. Calls are then transferred to another user, mailbox, or group of phones. Internal users are not expected to monitor each trunk or the system call traffic. PBX operation also eliminates the need for dedicated line buttons and flashing line status keys at the desktop. Many small businesses prefer Attendant-less operation where there is no assigned operator phone (attendant) and the system routes incoming calls based on pre-determined user/group ringing assignments. With the system Automated Attendant feature, after hours and weekend calls can still be serviced according to the needs of the business and its customers.
