Does the system have fail-safes against dangerously low levels ofoxygen?
A. There is a three-fold system of safety inherent in the machine: Firstly, the inability of the device to create a gas mixture which is dangerously low oxygen levels; Secondly, the presence of the pulse oximeter which will alarm if the oxygen saturation of the arterial blood flow falls below a preset baseline; Thirdly, the mask is hand-held and will fell off automatically to return you back to the sea level in case of emergency.
