Does the USCG have a JROTC program and are there any jobs available?

YES! The Coast Guard has just opened a JROTC program called the Camden County/CamTech High School Junior Leadership Program in Camden County, NC (just outside Elizabeth City, NC). The program is seeking a retired active duty O-3 or above with a baccalaureate degree to serve as the lead instructor. The lead instructor would be responsible for teaching 75 high school students leadership, citizenship, nautical science, close order drill and general military knowledge. This position would require the instructor to maintain weight and grooming standards as promulgated by the USCG as well as maintain contacts with local unit commands to facilitate hands on learning for the students through field trips and fam visits. Anyone qualified and interested should contact LTJG Anne Mulhern with any questions and for information on the application process. This position is currently open and the instructor would start work within the next three months.
