Yes. The VoiceXML Forum has worked with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) to define and evolve specifications intrinsic to speech platforms, such as HTTP, SIP, and MRCP. In addition, the now-concluded Speaker Biometrics Committee has worked closely with the International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS) M1 biometrics committee to define a speaker biometrics data interchange file format.
