Does this sound like ovulation spotting?
Ovulation spotting is caused by the sharp drop in estrogen. It occurs after the estrogen has dropped, but prior to progesterone surging. It’s a secondary sign of ovulation (with temp, cervical mucus, cervical position being primary signs). It is common (though most women don’t understand why it happens, thinking that it’s caused by the egg rupturing), and many consider it a good sign of fertility. So ovulation spotting should always occur just before ovulation (0-2 days prior to ovulation). A luteal phase anywhere between 12-16 days is perfect. If you find you start going to 10-11, then it might be worth considering taking vitamin b supplements to lengthen it. But as of right now, you are in the perfect range. Are you charting temp or just signs? Do you ever get eggwhite cervical mucus, or just creamy?
