Does Vaastu principles contain recommendations of ayurveda?
Many of the basic principles of Vaastu Shastra have been recommended by the students of Ayurveda. Both Charak and Shushruta are equivocal in recommending the importance of soil, earth and directional effects. The basic recommended points are : 1) north and east directions have been paid maximum importance, 2) all the ten directions are effective for human existence and each directions have impacts on human life, 3) soil testing, examining roop, rasa, gandha and sabda are also given a lot of importance 4) kitchen is recommended to be installed at the south east direction 5) places of treatment, maternity rooms are also stressed upon. Finally Ayurveda fully recognizes the importance of space and soil.
