Does Week Three in College Football Answer More Questions Than It Asks?
Usually by week three, trends start getting established, leaders step forward, and questions start getting answered. Let’s examine some questions and answers. Question one would have to be, is USC really that good? No, they’re not. They were just beaten by a really bad team. How Bad? They lost every game they played last year. To say they were bad is an insult to bad teams. They stank. You can put a spin on it anyway you want, but a No. 3 team is not supposed to get beaten by a win-less team from a year before. USC, you are like many in the Big Ten, a media darling, but simply a pretender. You just got exposed and now maybe the media will quit talking about you. This loss brings us to question two, which is, doesn’t this mean Ohio State must be even worse than the media thought? This loss also says volumes about Ohio State. They were actually bragging how close they played USC. Will they now brag that they lost to a team that got manhandled by Washington? Ohio State, this loss exposed
