Does WEP security type supported in 11n?
The 802.11n standard only allows the use of AES keys. The main reason for this is the known vulnerabilities of the WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy), the original local-link encryption standard in 802.11b, and the TKIP which came after it. This issue sometimes provokes confusing statements about its capabilities as some manufactures says they support 802.11n with WEP or TKIP only at 54 Mbps, where it is better to say 802.11n drops down to 802.11g to handle these older security types.
