Does White-nose Syndrome pose a risk to human health?
White-nose Syndrome is in caves and mines that have been visited by thousands of people during the past three years, yet there have been no reported illnesses attributable to WNS. However, because scientists are still learning about White-nose Syndrome, we do not know if there is a risk to humans from contact with bats affected with White-nose Syndrome, and we cannot advise you about human health risk.
