Does Windows 2000 run on RISC hardware?

0

NT 4.0 supported processors based on the popular Intel x86 standard–and also three Reduced Instruction Set Computing (RISC) platforms: Digital’s Alpha, MIPS and IBM/Motorola PowerPC. By contrast, Win2000 supports only x86 hardware. The reasons for this: Microsoft dropped MIPS and PowerPC development because NT wasn’t selling well on those hardware platforms, and Digital Alpha development has been stopped as well for the same reason.
