Does writing improve lung function and quality of life in patients with asthma?
A research study conducted in the USA suggested that three sessions of expressive writing can improve lung function in patients with asthma. Professor Helen Smith is running a randomised controlled trial, funded by Asthma UK, to see if these results can be replicated in a primary care setting in the UK. General practices in Brighton and Hove PCT are being invited to participate.
