ZoneAlarm is a fine firewall & it doesn’t conflict with AVG. Nor does it slow down your computer. It has both incoming & outgoing protection, which you need. Windows firewall has only incoming protection, so it’s only ½ a firewall I’ve used both for years & am very happy with them .
