Doesn a heavier boat ride smoother?
At one time Cadillac, Lincoln, Buick, etc. were considered to have the best ride cars because they were heavy and had a soft suspension, but now that has changed. These days, Cadillac’s brilliant CTS sedan shows how totally the transition has been made to light weight and a firm ride that can handle any type of road with aplomb. This same design concept makes the Aero Cat so different. The Aero Cat comes up on plane so quickly and effortlessly that you don’t realize it has happened. Then it almost dances over the water without ever pounding. It feels alive, never stopping and constantly correcting it’s attitude (in the aircraft sense of the term) in choppy water. Returning to the car analogy, heavy boats ride smooth because they part the water with great effort in rough conditions, and burn a lot of fuel in the process. The Aero Cat is always up on top of the water moving with cat-like (and we mean feline) grace.
