Find Out Your Store’s Refund Policy • To protect your opportunity to return unneeded textbooks, find out your store’s refund policy before you buy. It is usually posted near the cash registers. Find out: • How long do you have to return a text? • Are new and used books equally returnable? • Can you get a refund for any reason, or is a drop/add card required? • If some of the required materials are shrink-wrapped, will the store take back opened packages? If you have a choice between buying a text by itself or the same text bundled with a study guide or software package, make sure you need both parts. Packages can be a great value, but do some research before buying one. • If your store will accept returns of used books without a drop/add card, shop early to look for used books. If you decide you don’t need a used book you’ve bought, please return it as soon as possible to give other students a chance to save money. After you buy your books… • Save your receipts.
