Duraflame, Enviro-log or Pine Mountain Logs: Which is Better?

a portable heater is considered an accessory and is on a different tier then normal appliances. Basically it breaks down to .30 cents an hour to run one, so the cost can definitely creep up on you. I now have turned to buying fire logs from Wal-Mart. There are a few different brands you can buy that range in price. If I add it all up, I’m probably spending the same amount I would be if I ran my portable heater, but I’d rather pay a little here and there for fire logs instead of getting a huge power bill due all at once. Here are a few I have tried and my input on how efficient they are for the price. Enviro-log – $10.00/box of 6 The price is nice, but once you light it you realize you might as well throw your $10 bill into the fire and burn it along with it. They put off hardly any heat and don’t burn the 2 hours that you expect them to. You are lucky if you get an hour out of it, all it consists of is burning recycled cardboard which goes quickly. Pine Mountain Logs – $10.00/box of 3
