Evolution has led to women, but not men, getting progressively beautiful, according to scientists. Do you agree?
Well it is fairly true, because women do not select mates as much based on their looks. Many traits we consider beauty are really traits of good healthy breeding stock such as the waist to hip ratio, rosy cheeks of health, sparkly eyes etc. But when we select for women’s beauty, it also influences the looks of the males they breed. Certain traits like a small chin are seen as beautiful in women and not men, but those women also have boys with those small chins (which we consider less attractive on men, but who breed women with small chins). So our attempts at selective breeding for women’s beauty is only somewhat successful.
