Fastest running animal in the world ?
Cheetahs are the fastest land animal on four legs. They top out around 70mph. However they cannot keep that speed for very long. The second fastest land animal on FOUR legs is the American Pronghorn and they top out 60mph but can keep that speed for a much longer time. The fastest land animal on TWO legs is the ostrich which tops out the same as the Pronghorn at around 60mph. There are a few insects (running not flying) that science claims can top out from 90mhp to 120mhp…. however nothing yet has really been published so for the most part they are not counted yet. If you want to get into flying insects there are some that are known to fly as fast if not faster than the speed of sound. But again, unpublished for the most part.
