Fishless cycling with flakes: When does it end?!?

Dont use flakes, its a waste of food and plus, it takes a lot longer. Just buy pure ammonia (which can be found in a grocery store in the cleaning isle). Add a few drops or continue to add drops until you get a reading of 4 ppm. Then test your ammonia about a week later and see if it dropped. If it didnt, keep checking. One ammonia drops a little, check for nitrites. From then on, continue adding drops of ammonia to keep it stable at 2ppm. Keep checking until both nitrite and ammonia are 0. Do a water change and add ur fish.
