It is a compact and economical device that is easily installed, serviced and repaired in the line. The device consists of two independently acting, spring-loaded check valves in a corrosion resistant material.” From this it seems that one uses a dual or double check valve, when there would be apprehension of unwarranted mixing of non-compatible products. I would hence guess that one would not need a dual check valve, if there is no such apprehension.
