Fraley and Dr. Carey Smith were with that group?
Yes. In fact, we had one Army doctor who came ahead of them. I packed a box for Dr. Fraley and Dr. Smith–candy bars and oranges, and I don’t know what else–for the doctor to take back to them. So it must have been quite a reunion. Oh, yes it was. So many of the 753 people we brought out were the ones who started the American defenders of Bataan and Corregidor.
