Getting ready for a baby,what do i need?

I’m not a mother, but I am a midwife, so for your hospital stay make sure you have….pads (for yourself), old under wear (don’t bother with buying new ones as you will bleed a fair bit), nappies for your baby, enough outfits for your baby, mittens for your baby (some parents like to use them as babies often scratch their faces), baby wraps, a going home outfit for your baby (not necessary, but some parents like to have a nice outfit to put on their baby when they leave the hospital), comfortable clothes for yourself, slippers, toiletries (for you and you may like to buy some baby soap for your baby’s bath, although most hospitals do have baby soap), and the camera! Don’t forget the camera so you can take lots of photos of your new family! You may also want to play your own music when in delivery suite, so take some cds.
