Got a ticket for carpool lane violation. What should I do?
Don’t hang your hat on the “carpool lanes require 2 people in all the major freeways in the bay area” too fast there, sonny. I-80 is a “three-person” HOV area from Hercules to Emeryville according to the 511 website. How can you beat a ticket for what you admit you did? You got me on that one. Seriously. I mean, I don’t know how you can tell the judge you violated the law and still beat the ticket. I’d guess your best shot would be to explain what you told people here to the judge or commissioner and see if he/she takes mercy on you. Good luck.
