i wouldn’t suggest shaving over your tattoo until it’s FULLY HEALED, so at least two weeks. that’s not to say you can’t shave around it, just be careful. As far as the ointment goes, you don’t want to wrap your tattoo in saran wrap at all ever after you take it off the first time. Your tattoo needs to breathe. keep using the ointment for the next few days, then when you start going to school you can probably switch to curel lotion and apply that instead. It soaks into the skin easier than the ointment. Good luck and great tattoo! I’m sorry for your loss but i hope your tattoo has helped you with your closure.

you should keep the wrap on for a couple of hours after the tattoo is done and then just keep it covered in vaseline. This will prevent cracking when it starts to scab. You should avoid any material contact with it at all for the first week at least, so wear a skirt or something, shaving isnt advised. Keep washing (cleaning) the tattoo and re-apply vaseline every 4 hours or so or min of 2x a day. It really doesnt matter if you get ointment on your trousers but like i said avoid wearing trousers as it will rub and irritate the tattoo and when it starts to scab it will pull at the scab and the colour will fade because the scab isnt ready to come off. I had my 1st tattoo on the back of my shoulder (a large dragon) it looks great but i wore my bra and the strap ripped the scabs half off so its faded and because the scabs didnt come off properly on one bit it got infected. EDIT: You can get it wet its just not recommended to keep it submerged in water and swimming is not allowed for the fir
