We have considered this. A third station in Bicester would add to journey times on both routes to the detriment of passengers on journeys passing through Bicester. Replacing the existing stations with a combined station at the site you suggest is not possible because the new station would not adequately cater for the areas served by the current stations. Although a station at this site would provide interchange between the two routes, there are very few journeys that would be facilitated by this that aren’t already catered for by alternative routes. We have, therefore, dismissed this option.
