Has any one had an incisional hernia after a cesarean?

A hernia is essentially parts of the body ending up where they shouldn’t be because of a weakness in the structure that would normally keep them separate. So, after an incision, the muscle is weak & this is allowing something – maybe bowel or bladder to protrude through the muscle gap causing a bulge. Either you did something strenuous too early after a caesarian section or the suturing of your muscle layer could have been better. I would suggest resting as much as you can so that the muscle can heal itself. No heavy lifting & avoid things like vacuuming & making beds. Lifting your baby should be all you should be doing & get someone else to help you whenever you can. If you take care now, you can avoid further surgery & discomfort. Take care.
