Make meatballs using either minced beef or pork or a mixture of the two. I would add very finely chopped onion, crushed garlic and black pepper to the meatball mixture and maybe an egg to bind. Roll into balls and fry lightly to brown. To make the sauce fry a chopped onion and some garlic together in a little olive oil and add a tin of chopped tomatos and a carton of passata. Add black pepper, torn basil leaves and any vegetables that you like such as peppers or mushrooms. Also add a dash or Worcestershire sauce and balsamic vinegar at this stage. Cook together for 5 to 10 minutes and then pour over the meatballs arranged in an oven proof dish. Bake in the oven for another 30 minutes. Alternatively you could add the meatballs to the pan with the sauce and cook that way. It may be a little quicker. Serve with parmasan cheese and pasta.
