Has anyone been a victim of ebay internet fraud?
Many people have been the victims of ebay scams. If you wired the seller money via MoneyGram or Western Union, then you are pretty much out of luck. The money is gone. If you gave them the money using PayPal or you paid with a credit card, then you can issue a chargeback on the credit card (call the credit card company) or issue a fraud report with PayPal (look how to do this on PayPal). If you paid by check, you can try to stop payment on the check. At this point, if the product cost more than a few hundred, but less than $10,000, you might consider tracking down the seller and suing them in small claims court. Tracking down the seller will probably be the hard part. Suing someone in small claims court is super-easy. You can get lots of help on this from the internet (check out nolo.com) or from your local county clerk.
