Has anyone had problems connecting to the internet after they have downloaded the latest windows updates?
Yes, it has happened to me too. I have windows xp on my laptop, and a wireless internet connection. the latest ‘security update’ for windows did just that – made my computer so secure i couldn’t acces the internet at all. until i understand exactly why this update has done what it has done, i have uninstalled it and changed the settings for my automatic updates so that unless i instruct it to, my computer won’t install any further ones. for the most part microsoft has served me well, but these glitches are quite frequent and there is never any clue as to what the devil is going on when they occur. If linux OS’s were better than they are, and allowed me to use all the programs i currently use without problems, then i would make the switch for good, but unfortuneately linux in all it;s guises still has a way to go before it can fully topple bill gates fromt the winner’s podium.
