Norton does not completely remove itself when you use the Windows uninstall utility and what is left behind sometimes conflicts with other antivirus software. To uninstall you need to download an uninstall utility: To totally uninstall NAV (2003 & later) have a look @ this link [service1.symantec.com] To totally uninstall NAV (pre 2003) have a look @ this link [service1.symantec.com] The fact that the Windows uninstall feature does not work as it should do when uninstalling NAV reminds me of the term “protection racket” because unless you pay for the NAV service your computer is basicly sabotaged. That’s really unfortunate if you buy a computer with the trial version preinstalled like I did as a result of my experience I will never buy a Norton product again.
