I used the Clearblue Fertility Monitor and fell pregnant on my second month of TTC. It’s very easy to use and gives you a fertility rating every day of your cycle – from LOW fertility at the beginning – then as you approach ovulation, you get HIGH fertility (in which you can still get pregnant) and then you get two PEAK fertility days. The first day of PEAK means it has detected the LH surge and you will ovulate 24-36 hours later. My periods were also slightly irregular – they would range in length from 28-32 days, and I found I would have my first day of PEAK on different days, but it helped me to know when to have sex for TTC. I usually got 3 HIGH fertility days and only had sex on the second day of HIGH fertility and then stopped. I was using this method though in my quest to TTC a girl.
