Has anyone tried a water, fruit, or juice fast?
I’ve done the “Eat Stop Eat” in which I ate regular healthy meals all week long with two 24 hour water fasts per week. I’ve had some positive results and find it easier to lose a little bit of body fat with a lot less ongoing nutritional deprivation. I’m currently on a LeanGains program in which I eat everyday within an 8 hour window the other 16 hours I’m fasting. I pretty much eat a low carb diet with moderate amounts of fruit all week long, except I eat carbs on my workout days – I strength train. My strength is progressively increasing, I’m packing on more muscle than any bulk/cut cycling program I’ve been on, and I’m noticeably slimming down. When I’m fasting I’m very productive, I’m able to think clearer, and when I do get hungry I’m better able to overcome it by knowing I’m a few hours from my next meal. My meals are bigger to my satisfaction and I’m less worried about overeating. The first couple of (24 hour) fasts were not that hard though I was very hungry. But after that I g
