Has anyone undergone treatment with Interferon for Hep C?

0

I had tried interferon for Hep B a few years back. It does not work for me. I had to inject myself. According to my doc, Interferon is already outdated. The drug is not cheap and the process I went through is depressing. Do you have any other alternative? I am going to take Baraclude (entecavir 0.5mg). It had been in the market for 8-10 years. Try asking your doc about this drug because I know some Hep C patient do take it. Interferon will make you feel really bad, I cried every time I injected myself, very upset. Beside loss of weight, hair loss, the body feel weak and had no concentration to work. Please consult your doc again for other side effects or should you go for a biopsy. I had it done 3 times. Good luck!
