Has Israel just made the biggest mistake in its history ?
Hard to say just yet…the last time Israel went into Lebanon it looked like a justified incursion, but things turned ugly (Israel ended up looking like they got beat by a “rag-tag” Hezbollah militia). I can empathize with arguments from both sides, but what initially looked like Israel simply defending itself now looks a little heavy-handed. The conflict over there is complicated. And now that rockets are flying south from Lebanon again, there is a very real possibility that Israel will open up another front. As usual when this starts up it looks like we are inches from WW III, but things usually calm back down relatively quickly…for a while.
