Microsoft have been one of the most successful companies to date, it has made one of its owners Bill Gates one of the richest people in the world and the company itself has billions in the bank. Microsoft sells a wide range of products from hardware to software; they also own parts of numerous websites like the ever so popular Facebook. Since Microsoft first started up, they have been making nothing but profit and every year this figure has got stronger and stronger, but Microsoft have recently announced that they have suffered their first drop in revenue since they went public in 1986 as the global economic downturn eats its once indestructible sales of computer operating systems. But that being said the company are no where near struggling they have made billions of pounds still, but it simply did not see a rise from the previous year. This leads me to ask the question of whether or not the company is really suffering because of the credit crunch, or is there another underlying cause
