After consultation with the government of Bangladesh, the U.S. Mission to Bangladesh has requested funds to provide emergency assistance for the victims of flooding. An initial request of $50,000 in Ambassadorial discretionary funds to meet emergency needs was approved and awarded to a non-governmental organization. These funds will provide food, transportation, and operational support for the distribution of food and survival packets to victims of flooding in the most affected communities.
