Yes. The FDA’s adverse event database for Yaz, Yasmin, and Ocella reveals a substantial number of serious adverse events associated with these drugs, including more than 59 deaths where the women were taking Yaz, Yasmin, or Ocella. Because of underreporting, the actual number of women who suffered side effects associated with these medications is likely many, many more than reported.
