Supplementing with formula will only decrease your milk supply, and it won’t help your baby sleep through the night. Some babies just take longer than others to do this. Here are some tips to help you get on a schedule that fits your life a bit better. Don’t let your baby feed in small bits throughout the day. Especially in the evenings, don’t stand for a few nips every 20-30 min. Get a good long feeding in late in the evening, and put him down for the night. If you do this at 10 or 11, then you shouldn’t need to feed him until 5-6 in the morning. You can get away with 8-9pm until 5-6am, depending on your baby.
