The last one I used spit paint so bad that I literally threw it out the window. (Of course I had to pick it up and actually place it in a trash container, but the mental joy of throwing that piece of junk out the window at that time was worth the extra effort.) The best advice I can give is this. Figure how much painting you’re going to do and then make an investment in either renting or purchasing an airless sprayer. A base model airless sprayer will deliver far superior results than would a top of the line “Power Painter.” If you are going to do a lot of painting, go ahead and buy one. They run about $300, but will pay for themselves in no time. I have painted my house twice (didn’t like the color we chose the first time), the vinly siding on my house once (saved me $1800 to replace the siding), and have painted several other items.
