Have you qualified through the Graduate Teaching Programme (GTP) route or the Overseas Teacher Training Programme (OTTP)?
While this programme is appropriate for all teachers, it is specifically targeted at teachers who have entered the profession through the GTP or OTTP. Emphasis will be placed on linking theory to educational practice, broadening your understanding of approaches to teaching and learning, therefore refining and developing your own practice. Through this course, you will examine the theoretical approaches that under-pining the teaching and learning strategies that you have been trained with and observed. This work will be placed in the context of current practice including the National Curriculum and National Strategies, and of a wider, historical perspective.
