There’s still a slight chance that it’s OK – otherwise they wouldn’t say they were going to do the ultrasound before performing the D&C. Make sure they do that but don’t get your hopes up. The doctor would have seen a lot of cases like this before, and would know how they usually turn out… The return of your pregnancy symptoms could be a good sign, or it could be due to the promentrium. A miscarriage doesn’t always happen on the day that the pregnancy fails. It can take a couple of weeks before you have any idea of it or can even not happen at all (a missed miscarriage). I’m sorry you’re going through this. You’re probably not ready to hear this now, but miscarriages in the first trimester are quite common, and are usually unavoidable and just bad luck. It doesn’t mean that it will necessarily happen again. At least it has shown that you can fall pregnant, there’s still hope. I hope that it all works out OK for you.
