HELP SOMEONE PLEASE!!!! HOW DOES SOIL GET ITS NUTRIENTS??? ?

When plants die they rot back into the soil, broken down by bugs, worms, bacteria & fungus. SOME plants (used to be called leguminous but they changed the name recently) actually store nitrogen in nodules on the roots from nutrients made during photosynthesis. All living matter (so the bugs, worms, dead birds, leaves, plants etc.) breaks down & goes back in to feed the soil. In unnatural conditions, instead of feeding the soil people add chemicals which plants take up directly. These do nothing much for the soil itself – just grow bigger plants.
