HELP!!! Will an overdraft fee of $9.00 affect my credit rating on a debit card?

It shouldn’t. An overdraft on a debit card is just a pre-approved amount that the bank allows you to “borrow” on your account (your account goes into the negatives). It can be very handy, but they will charge you interest…which is where the overdraft fee comes in. Depending on how much in the negatives your account was, the bigger the fee can be. The only way it would effect your credit rating is if you never put more money into your account to pay the overdraft off. I hope this helps!
