The one that has worked wonders for me is 5-HTP. Stands for 5-Hydroxy Trypyophan (spelling?). It is available at health stores and drug stores, and even Costco. Helps with depression, regulating sleep, grief, anxiety, appetite control (not for weight loss, but does help). The only thing you shouldn’t take it with is Melatonin. And probably shouldn’t take if pregnant or breast feeding. Start with 50mg once a day, then after a week, 50mg 2x a day. Some people I know slept better the first night they took it, but for me it took a week and a half before I saw any results with the depression. I am now taking 50mg in the morning and 100mg at night. You will just have to find a dose that is good for you, but it is recommended to take 2x a day. You can safely take up to 300mg a day, but you should not have to go that high.
