HGTV has released a press release that follows some of the winners over the past 12 years, and what they’ve done with the winnings. Milton O’Bryant, who won the 2002 Dream Home, said in the press release: “Winning something that is valued at more than one million dollars has a great effect on your life.” Among the things that he did with his winnings was to buy his dream car, a 50th Anniversary-edition Corvette, for more than $50,000. 1998 Dream Home winner Tina Carlson actually kept her house as a vacation home for seven years before selling it.
