How accurate is the armys tape test for BMI?

Well it isn’t the most accurate but it is the most cost efficient, but it is accurate enough. It is usually within a 5% window which is good enough for government work. LOL. The most accurate way to measure body fat is water displacement test to my knowledge but it is not an efficient way for the army. The tape test is the easiest way also. it is harder to mess up the tape test. Being a soldier of over 18 years and having to be taped my entire career the best thing to do is to bulk your neck up.
