How adh works when the body has lees water?

0

When the body has less water, you want more to be reabsorbed into the body and less urine to be produced. Therefore you produce MORE of the hormone ADH – this is produced in the pituitary gland in your brain. This makes the kidney tubules ( these are responsible for the absorption of water into your body) more absorbent. Therefore more water passes through the kidneys into your body through the kidney walls. Hence aiding the dehydration. Futhermore, if more wateris going into your body, you produce less urine, hence also aiding dehydration. To summarise, you produce more ADH when you have less water causing your kidney tubules to be more absorbent so increasing the amount of water in your body.
