Assuming available resources, both the NFMC Program and HUD will reimburse for this counseling in a manner consistent with their respective reimbursement policies. For those receiving HUD Housing Counseling grants, since the mandatory counseling will involve a minimum of two sessions, counseling agencies can request reimbursement for each session separately through HUD. HUD Housing counseling grants are typically drawn down quarterly. Reimbursement for this counseling would occur through the same standard process it does for all other types of counseling.
