they are taught to speak sign language, they can’t actually speak and I would imagine they are taught the same way dogs are taught tricks, they get something they want or like when they get it right and so they learn from that, when they don’t get it right they aren’t rewarded

i dont think they are taught to speak (least ive never heard of that)….i know they teach them sign language if thats what you mean…

sign language…they memorize a few hundred sign languages taught to them. For example, tapping their mouth means they want to eat…or raising only their middle finger in a fist showing that they do not like you.
